Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Good afternoon all.

I'm having problem with splitting network.

I want to split my network 2.4ghz and 5ghz serrately.

At the moment my network is dual band it works for 2.4ghz and 5ghz.

Can I please know how to split these in to two SSID?

eg.

separately like these.

wifi name: 1 (2.4ghz)
wifi name: 2 (5ghz)

at the moment.

wifi name: 1 (network 2.4ghz~5ghz)

Can I do this through Deco app? or do I need to do it through 192-168-68-1 on website?

Having so much confusion.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you all.

@Auckland-j I can't believe this is not a feature. I am (was) considering moving to a DECO WIFI7 system but if band splitting is not available then this is out of consideration for me.

  @Auckland-j

Hi, welcome to the community.

It needs to be configured on the Deco APP.

Please update your Deco X50 V1.2 to the latest firmware first:

Deco X50(US)_V1.20_1.1.0 Build 20230522

Then it supports the IOT network. After that, you could set the IOT network to 2.4GHz and name SSID#1, and set the main network to 5GHz only and name it SSID#2

Best regards.
