Model: Archer AX53
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Archer AX53(US)_V1_1.1.2 Build 20221019

Hi,
I just bought the AX53 US version router.
The EU version of AX53 has EasyMesh, however the US version doesn't. Can I install the EU version on the US router? When can the US version get easymesh? My AX10 already has easy mesh

You can't upload (EU region) FW on a (US ergion) router. As per when on the AX53(US) Easymesh will be implemented - it can't be seen in the planned devices - here.

You have to keep an eye on the US support portal or support forum for any related announcements.

If this was helpful click once on the arrow pointing upward. If this solves your issue, click once the star to mark it as a "Recommended Solution".

  @terziyski

that's because I bought the router in India and in Indian website, its mentioned:

https://www.tp-link.com/in/easymesh/product-list/

Its strange how EU got the functionality but the US versions have't gotten a single firmware update in 2023.

That's why I pointed you to keep an eye on the support website and support forum for announcements.

By the way, in the Indian support website (the link you posted) AX53 is listed as already supporting Easymesh feature.

Moreover on the Indian AX53 overview page Easymesh support is mentioned as well.

There are some discrepancies throughout some regional support sites that have to be corrected.

@terziyski Yes it shows already supporting, but when you go to firmware update page on support, none of the firmware versions show it nor the setup page for wifi (I can see OneMesh)

By the way, if you have another EasyMesh compatible TP-Link router, you can set AX53 as your main router and the other one as a satellite - this should work as described in this post (using the WPS method).

If this was helpful click once on the arrow pointing upward. If this solves your issue, click once the star to mark it as a "Recommended Solution".

@SJRoxx when trying to switch my AX53 ( EU ) to satellite mode it just resets and goes back to the beginning setup page. This is with the beta firmware for ethernet backhaul

Try the WPS method for adding the AX53 as a satellite device - the link is in my previous post.

If this was helpful click once on the arrow pointing upward. If this solves your issue, click once the star to mark it as a "Recommended Solution".
