Early Access KidShield Now Open for Trial!

KidShield is a fantastic tool for parents who want to ensure their child's online safety. Unlike the regular HomeShield Parental Control, which only functions when clients are connected to home Wi-Fi, KidShield Parental Control surpasses this limitation. Additionally, even if clients enable Randomize MAC address, KidShield's safeguards remain effective. By using KidShield, you can foster a safe and secure digital environment, allowing your child to explore the internet while you maintain control and supervision.
Is KidShield free for users?
Currently, KidShield is in the beta test phase which is free.
However, after KidShield is launched officially, you need to subscribe to the Total Parental Controls Package to use it.
***With the release of latest Deco APP(3.8.123-Android; 3.8.129 for IOS), the option to create KidShield " On the Go" Profile is open for all HomeShield Deco users.
***If you are using Homeshield Archer Router series, please step into this thread-Post 667178 to start a trial journey.

How to set up a KidShield profile
Step 1: Open Deco APP>Parental Controls>"+" and select "On the Go Profile"
Step 2: Scan the QR code from the kids' device and complete the profile according to FAQ 3779
***Currently, due to the IOS system limitation(Android OS works fine), the pairing link can't be downloaded directly after scanning the QR code and the following notification will pop up. If you want to test the "On the Go" Profile on the kid IOS devices, it is suggested to download "KidShield" APP from APP Store first, then scan the QR code generated on the Deco APP.
Step 3: Monitor the Kids' online safety according to FAQ 3780.

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback. I'll report to the engineer to see whether they can reproduce similar issues.
Could you please refer to this link to help me submit the Deco APP log:
By the way, can I have the model number of the parental mobile phone with the Deco APP installed and the model number of the Kid's device?
Wait for your reply and best regards.

I installed your app on my child’s iPhone (even though it said iOS wasn’t supported yet) and enabled the Advanced features via my iMac. The concept and level of control are excellent—a genuinely good initiative—but I’m running into major bugs:
-
The On-the-Go profile blocks almost everything, including safe sites (apple.com), school Zoom meetings, and iCloud (backups fail).
-
At times, the phone loses internet entirely.
-
I can’t sign out of Find My iPhone to remove the Advanced KidShield profile I installed from my iMac.
Since I keep having to recover the phone, I’m removing it for now. Please share clear steps to fully uninstall and restore connectivity.
Once the iOS version is out of beta and stable/bug-free, I’ll gladly reinstall and try again. I’m happy to provide logs/screens if helpful.
Thanks,

Hi, thanks for the feedback.
Can you share a video clip of "I can’t sign out of Find My iPhone to remove the Advanced KidShield profile I installed from my iMac," or would there be any error message?
(If the video is too large, you could try to post an online link.)
As I'm not the owner of the tested network, I asked the engineer to help me test "deleting an On-the-Go profile"; he didn't seem to run into any issues.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.
