C500 capture trees and natural motion so it should not capture and give focus on person detection

Hi，
The basic camera's detection mechanism is based on image changes between different frames. The frame is one of the many still images which compose the complete moving picture. If there is a difference between the frames, the camera will recognize it as a motion detected.
The tree's movement and natural motion will cause a significant change in the image, therefore this kind of detection cannot be avoided.

 

You can refer to the following instructions to change the settings on the camera and check if it helps.

 This is why we need automated tracking available when "person detection" is on and "motion detection" is off.

Changing your detection zones might help. Select your camera in tapo app > settings > detection > detection zones > edit > add zone. I've added 3 zones to my map that overlap a lot - but whats important is the area *not covered* (so the detection isn't triggered by ambient movement). Even though we're only given 4 points in a single 'zone' to change - with multiple zones, one can actually create a complex over-all shape of "included region".
