Tuesday
Model: Deco BE65
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.06 Build 20240724 Rel. 12326

My BE65 system is only two months old.

The main node failed showing a solid red LED. I reset the node, but I am unable to get it to connect using the app.

Below is the sequence and symptoms:

  1. Press reset - yellow LED flashes, then goes solid for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Blue LED blinks, so I attempt to connect using the app.
  3. Blue LED goes solid, but the app did not detect the node.
  4. Yellow LED then goes solid and stays solid.

I have another two nodes, so I reset them and recreated the network without any issues. They have firmware version 1.06 Build 20240724 Rel. 12326 installed.

I cannot confirm whether the faulty node has the same firmware, because I cannot connect to it.

I am using Access Point Mode.

Hi, welcome to the community.

Could you please switch the power adapter of this "Solid yellow" Deco with the adapter of the other two units? Please also change to a different power socket if possible.

By the way, can you still detect the default WiFi SSID(such as Deco_xxxx, the last 4 characters of the MAC address) of this Deco?

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  @David-TP

Thank you David.

I have used a power supply from one of the other working Deco units and a different power socket as you suggested.

I was still unable to get it to connect using the app. The WiFi SSID cannot be detected.

The failed Deco unit seems to be rebooting, going from solid yellow for several minutes, then flashing blue for approx. 30 seconds and then back to solid yellow in a loop.

I have been unable to detect the SSID throughout that cycle.

Is there anything else I can try before returning the Deco system back to the store?
