@Kevin_Z Do you happen to have at least a rough estimation on when we can expect ethernet backhaul easy mesh in AP mode, or even at least a confirmation that it will be released?? (maybe you have access to a very early beta that can be user tested?)
Im using the Archer AX90 since 2021 (and I'm using TP-Link exclusively sine 2010 1043nd open wrt) and it was great until I needed to expand with 3(4) years of waiting for an Ethernet backhaul.
Now its here and works well for me with an re700x extender, but at this point my Internet connection was upgraded and Archer is not enough anymore as a main router since it has too weak lan ports:(
The AX90, RE700X combo would still be great since its still future proof for at least couple of years as a wifi AP, but with the 3 years wait time for ethernet backhaul in router mode I wonder if it is even developed.
For me an walk around this would be to leave AX90 in router mode with DHCP and NAT turned off. I have heard that this way I can use it as a bridge, but I have been trying this for the last 3 days without much luck.
Do you happen to have ANY information on how to do this properly? my hw is 1.0 and firmware is 1.2.0 Build 20241125 rel.8976(4555).
