Model: Tapo C320WS
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.5

Hi!!

So, I have 7 c320ws, all hardware 2.0, 6 with firmware 1.2.4 and one that has had the update to 1.3.5.

This cam is the only one that started to record in fits and starts, every recording on the SD is not fluid, it freezes and restarts.

Classic approach: restart cam from app, reset.. The cam detects and records, only that it goes in fits and starts every recording after the update 🤷🏻‍♀️

 A second camera also received the firmware upgrade and same problems.

Recordings are slow, which does not happen with the previous version.

At this point it is evident to be a bug in the new firmware, so for now I have blocked the update of all the other cams because I need the recordings and videos to be smooth and not stuttering.

Solution in sight?

  @Fed3

Hi,
For the reported issue, please confirm the following information.
  1. Please make sure the Tapo app is up to date. You can uninstall the Tapo app and reinstall it for a try.

  2. Do you have a problem when watching the camera's live feed?

  3. Do you have the same issue after downloading the video clips from the SD card and then watching it in the Tapo app?

      Seamless Video Control: Download and Clip Camera SD Card Videos in the Tapo App!

  4. Could you please send me a video showing the reported issue? You can upload the video to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a link to download it and send me (@Solla-topee) the link via a private message.

Best Regards

  @Solla-topee

So:

1) app updated. I tried first to clear the cache, then the saved data and then also the app. Nothing :(  the problem persists.

2) Same problems also in live view.

3-4) Unfortunately at the moment I can not download the video because I am not in the same wifi network, I will be able to do it at the beginning of next week when I return. I can just recorder the video while I'm watching it.

The two cameras with the 1.3.5 firmware have the same issues, all the others work fine.

  @Fed3

Hi,
Please check if the following instructions will help in your case.
What should I do if I can't view the Tapo camera?

If not, you can record the video manually on the camera's live view page and send it to us via a private message.

Best Regards

  @Solla-topee

Hi
I am also using the same c320 model, and after the 1.3.5 firmware update, the connection is frequently disconnected. Please check.
Thank you.
