Model: Archer NX600  
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: As purchased

Recent purchase of NX600 in Australia. Configured for EWAN through PPPoE (NBN) with MBB fallback to Telstra 5G.

As per thread for NX200 (Auto Failback Issue in NX200 – Not Switching Back to EWAN automatically when fiber is restored) it appears NX600 is not automatically returning to EWAN operation when MBB fallback occurs.

Manual reset of NX600 appears necessary to restore EWAN connection after router operates in MBB mode.

We don't have confidence that auto fallback to MBB is operating correctly.  Cellular data is being used when PPPoE is available.

 

a) Are optional DNS Lookup and Ping fields needed for auto function to perform reliably?

 

b) Is a firmware update required?

PS: Please can the TP-Link emulator be updated to include option for NX600.

You're right that the auto fallback is not operating correctly. There was a similar thread a week ago about Archer NX200:https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/830486

The senior engineer is still trying to identify the root cause. I'd like to follow up on your case via email as well and forward it to the senior engineer for further assistance.
