Low Audio Issue During Video Calls on Tapo C211
Dear Support Team,
I’ve encountered an issue with my Tapo C211 camera — the audio volume during Video Calls is very low.
I have checked and confirmed that the firmware is up to date (Version 1.4.8 Build 250910).
However, I noticed that in the Advanced Settings menu, there is no Video Call Mode option, unlike the Tapo C200C and C500 models I also own.
Please investigate this issue and consider updating the firmware to include the Video Call Mode option under the Advanced Settings menu. This will allow users to enable Compatible Mode, which could help improve the Video Call audio performance for this model.
Thank you very much for your excellent support and continued service.
Sincerely,
Aisawan

Hi,
1. Please tap the icon at the top right corner of the Tapo C211's Live View > Voice Call page, then set the camera's microphone and speaker volume to the maximum value, and check if the audio volume is louder when using the Video Call feature.
2. If the Tapo C211 has the same performance, please try to move it close to the Tapo C200C or C500, use the Video Call feature on both cameras, and then record the video on the Tapo C211 and another camera to have a comparison. Then, please send us the videos for further analysis.
You can upload the videos to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.
Best Regards

Dear Support Team,
Thank you very much for your kind response.
For all my cameras, I have already set both the Microphone and Speaker volumes to the maximum level. Regarding the comparison test you mentioned, I’m unable to conduct it because my cameras are installed in different locations. In particular, the C500 is installed outdoors at a high position, making it difficult to access.
For both the C500 and C200C models, if I do not enable “Compatible Mode” under Video Call Mode in the Advanced Settings, the speaker output from the camera becomes extremely quiet — almost inaudible. This volume level is similar to what I’m currently experiencing with the C211.
However, the latest firmware for the C211 does not include the “Video Call Mode” option in the Advanced Settings, which would allow users to enable Compatible Mode and fix this issue.
Please consider improving the C211 firmware by adding Video Call Mode with a selectable Compatible Mode option under Advanced Settings. I’m confident this will completely resolve the low speaker volume problem.
Thank you very much for your excellent support and continued assistance.
Sincerely,
Aisawan

Dear Support Team,
Thank you very much for your response.
I have uninstalled the Tapo app and reinstalled it using the APK installer from the download link you provided. After installation, I confirmed that both the C500 and C200C cameras display the Video Call Mode option normally.
However, the C211 still does not show this option.

This issue appears to be caused by the firmware of the C211, which has not yet been updated to include this feature.
Please improve the firmware and release a new update for the Tapo C211 to resolve this issue.
Thank you very much for your kind support.
Best regards,
Aisawan
