Hi,

I have recently updated my home internet router to a TP-Link BE230 V2.0

Therefore a reconnection to home internet is required for the Tapo C220 Camera.

The camera succesfully connected to the 2.4ghz network but can only be controlled locally within the same network.

I have tried the below but the problem is still not resolved.

1. Set the Primary and Secondary DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 respectively as advised from other threads.

2. Factory reset both the router and the tapo camera and reconnected to the same s2.4ghz network.

3. Checked all firmware updates.

4. Tried other wifi networks (different routers).

Also after factory resetting the TPLINK BE230 router, it cannot connect to cloud server/TP Link ID to be binded.

Frustrating as it was working smoothly previously.

Hi,
If your ISP is Optus, it's recommended to refer to the thread below for further assistance with the reported phenomenon.
[Tapo Smart Devices] Cannot be controlled remotely on the Optus network in Australia
Best Regards
