losing connection
Hi,
I recently bought a TP-Link MR600 router, and I’m experiencing frequent internet disconnects. The connection drops around 4 times a day, sometimes even more.
When the issue happens, all devices lose internet access temporarily. After some time, the connection usually comes back by itself, but it keeps happening repeatedly every day.
I checked the router logs and noticed this error message appearing when the disconnect happens:
“ERROR: Get runtime param for ip#1 failed (-1), result:0 , error:0”
Router model:
TP-Link MR600
Problem details:
-
Internet disconnects multiple times per day
-
Happens randomly during normal usage
-
Connection restores automatically after a short time
-
Error above appears in the logs when the issue occurs
Things I have already tried:
-
Restarting the router
-
Checking cables and SIM connection
-
Updating/reinstalling settings
-
Testing on multiple devices
I also found a forum thread where someone recommended downloading a beta firmware version to upgrade the router. However, when I try to upload the firmware file, I get this
error message:
“Error code: 71211
Failed to upload upgrade file. Please select the correct file.”
Because of this, I’m unable to test the beta firmware fix.
I would appreciate any help or advice on what could be causing this issue and how to fix it.
Thanks.
