Model: Deco X95
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.2.5 Build 20240903 Rel. 50784

Hi TP-Link support,

I have a Deco X95 mesh system and I am looking for help with a 2.4 GHz IoT stability issue. I also saw TP-Link staff mention a Deco X95 beta firmware that optimizes 2.4 GHz channel selection / 2.4 GHz network performance, and I would like to request access to the correct beta firmware for my hardware version if available.

Model / firmware:
- Deco X95, 2 units
- Hardware version shown by web UI: X95(1.0)
- Current firmware on both units: 1.2.5 Build 20240903 Rel. 50784
- Main Deco: Playroom
- Satellite Deco: Kids Bedroom
- The Decos are used as access points / bridge behind my firewall. DHCP is handled by the firewall, not by Deco.

Problem:
A few days ago, devices connected to the Deco IoT network started losing internet access. The Deco app still showed them as connected, but they had no usable traffic / zero RX/TX and were offline. I also connected an iPhone to the IoT SSID and confirmed there was no internet on that network at the time.

What still worked:
- The normal/main Deco Wi-Fi network continued to work.
- Wired/firewall internet connectivity was healthy.
- Firewall routing/NAT tests were OK.
- A newly created temporary Deco IoT SSID worked with an iPhone, so the upstream internet/firewall path appears healthy.

What I checked:
- DHCP leases are being issued normally by the firewall.
- Firewall sessions show DNS/HTTPS traffic passing correctly when the client is actually forwarding traffic.
- Packet capture on the firewall showed DNS and HTTPS replies passing both directions for test clients.
- Deco web UI shows both X95 units on firmware 1.2.5 Build 20240903 Rel. 50784.
- Deco web UI currently shows 2.4 GHz using channel 5. I do not have a manual 2.4 GHz channel/channel-width option in the Deco app for this X95 setup.

Logs:
The Deco system log repeatedly shows messages like:
- estimatorDot11kIterateCB: Timeout waiting for 802.11k response
- triggerMonSteering: Failed to get uplink rssi
- bcm_get_fdb_dst failed
- AP sync timer expires

Request:
1. Is there a Deco X95 beta firmware for V1 / V1.6 that improves 2.4 GHz channel selection or 2.4 GHz IoT stability?
2. If yes, can you please provide the correct beta firmware for X95 hardware version 1.0 / V1/V1.6?
3. Is there any recommended workaround for X95 when the Deco app does not expose manual 2.4 GHz channel or 20 MHz channel-width selection?
4. Are the repeated 802.11k / steering / bcm_get_fdb_dst log messages expected, or do they indicate a known Deco mesh/2.4 GHz issue?

Thanks.

Hi,
I have sent the firmware for the Deco X95 to you via a private message. Please try upgrading it via the web UI and check if it helps.
