Model: Tapo C720   Tapo H200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.3

My C720 keeps disconnecting from my hub, ever since the hub forced a firmware update recently.

I do a reboot of the camera and this fixes it, or so it seems, and then a couple days later the warning it's disconnected is back, and obviously no recordings are saved.

I'm also on the latest release firmware for the hub: Tapo H200 - Firmware version 1.7.1 Build 20260515 rel.61602.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

I've also got a D235 doorbell that had the issue once, but has been ok since.

TIA

  @Thunderwing

I'm having the same issue on two C510W's, works for a while then they go offline in the app, I've tried everything I can, I bought a WiFi extender thinking that would work, but same issue the next day, checked all my WiFi settings on the router, speed tests etc everything is fine at my end, I've reported it to technical help twice now, I think I'll get rid of them and get something more reliable, I'll keep an eye on your post for now, best of luck.

If your camera has the WiFi backup feature enabled, try to disable it and see if that helps with this issue. *Before disabling it, go to camera's Device Info page to confirm the current network source and the signal strength (RSSI rate).

How to Check and Fix an Unstable Tapo or Kasa Network Connection -> Part 1: Check Your Tapo or Kasa Device Signal Strength

Is your H200 connected via ethernet or WiFi? If it is connected via WiFi, please check its signal strength as well.

And just to confirm, both the camera and the hub are still online themselves (e.g. their LEDs aren’t showing an error color), but the connection for hub storage has been lost, is that correct?
