The following beta firmware has added OneMesh on/off switch and if you want to turn off the hidden SSID, please try to install the following firmware first:

Note:
1. Please check the device label to verify the country code and hardware version of your device first, and choose the correct file to download and install.
2. Be sure you have read the Terms and Conditions for TP-Link Beta Firmware before proceeding!
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

Hi, the firmware with OneMesh on/off switch has no ETA yet.
The hidden SSID has been tested with no security risk. For more details about this hidden network, please refer to
Found Archer C7 v5 or Archer A7 v5 is emitting hidden
In the meanwhile, I will pin your post on the top and if someone had the same request, please feel free to comment below with the following information:
1. the model number and hardware version of your TP-Link device.
2. Why do you request this feature?
And for wireless routers and 3G/4G routers, some of them already support disable OneMesh and pleaser refer to the following links:

Seeking a solution to the same on the VDSL modems. This is a common need out there in the market, that other vendors will take advantage of.

Hi David,
I have the same issue and would like to disable one mesh and have a vr400 v3 and have no desire for one mesh.
Thanks very much for the option to test beta but the file link is invalid.
I have updated to the latest stable available on the website.
Many thanks in advance

@David-TP thanks for the test firmware. I have loaded this and disabled the mesh and also turned off the WiFi.
The device is still emitting >100,000uW/m2 of RFR when measured with an RF meter so the mesh off new feature does not appear to be working, or the WiFi off feature doesn't work. It is hard to tell which.
I also notice that the WiFi on/off physical button only works ~10% of the time. I have observed this on several VR400's. This makes it pretty unusable in an environment where users want to only enable the WiFi when needed.
Comparing the VR400 to the TP-Link C7, the mesh off feature does work on the C7 as tested the same way. The WiFi on/off physical button also works more reliably (with a 3 second press).
Please let me know if I can help with any more testing or information at all.
I appreciate you looking at this and making the changes. It will help you sell more of these devices.
Regards,
Kent.

I have the Archer VR600v(DE) Ver.2.0 with the latest firmware Archer_VR600vV2_0.7.0_0.9.1_up_boot(220113)_2022-01-13_10.15.33. Is there also a newer firmware for this model with the option of switching off the hidden OneMesh network?
Thank you.

This firmware update does not work as suggested. The Onemesh network or other network is still emitting RF.
Would it be possible fo the TPLink team to repeat their testing and QA on this?

Thanks for the update.
Would it be possible for you to send us an email to support.forum@tp-link.com about how you found out that after turning off Onemesh, it is still broadcasting a hidden SSID?
Best regards.
Hi Roady, the beta firmware is based on the previous feedback, and before I haven't seen much feedback about Archer VR600v(DE) Ver.2.0.
So far the beta firmware is still not available and I will keep checking whether there will be more similar feature requests.
Thank you very much.
