Before the Upgrade

(1) Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the pre-release firmware!

(2) For the sake of insurance, it's always recommended to save a copy of the router Backup Config file before upgrading or downgrading.

(3) You may follow the guide to upgrade the firmware of your router. How to Upgrade the Firmware on the TP-Link Wi-Fi Routers.

(4) This pre-release firmware for Archer BE800 V1 can be applied to all versions (EU/US/JP/TW/etc.).

(5) This version of software can be degraded to the previous version.

(6) To use the new 3-band MLO connection, both the router and client device must support Wi-Fi 7 and 3-band MLO. Please note that most Wi-Fi 7 smartphones and network adapters may only support 2.4GHz + 5GHz or 2.4GHz + 6GHz when connecting to the MLO Network.

  @Kevin_Z

Very nice update, good job.

-easy to install

-easymesh works with a simple WPS on RE800BE, MLO with only one ssid, no moré "-EXT"

-better speeds than previously, maybe less interferences.

a must have on this device. AP mode is often necessary with triple play internet boxes.

  @Kevin_Z Does this beta firmware also include the fix for 2.5G SFP or includes debug mode to use 2.5G?

  @SpeedxThunder +1 to the 2.5g sfp  mode question,

Also want to know if MLO works on the secondary devices when in easy mesh mode.

  @NPGrey

I'm in this case, MLO works on BE800, but RE800BE has a second MLO with its own ssid. Perhaps there is a way to have only one I don't know.

  @Onyx2024 yes MLO works on the primary BE800, it does not on the secondary nodes

  @SpeedxThunder sfp module is not detected with this beta firmware and telnet is locked with a password.

@NPGrey Are both Nokia G-010S-A and ODI Realtek DFP-34X-2C2 not detected now with the new pre-release firmware?

I've checked with the development team and confirmed that this new pre-release firmware doesn't include the modifications of the previously provided beta firmware which aims to address the 2.5G SFP+ mode concern.sad

Hi  @Kevin_Z,

I no longer have the Nokia module,

The odi module negotiates at 10g for a second and turns off.

On changing lan_sds_mode to 5 on the odi device, it connects at 1g.(Mode 5, works for me on 1.1.6 beta via commands)

Another unrelated issue I found with the new beta in AP mode, if I have both port 3 and an Intel 10g sfp module connected, it turns off combo port and the Intel spf module no longer has connectivity, this used to work in the previous firmware.

Does this mean there will be no internet at all?

Are you saying when the Intel 10G SFP module is connected to the 10 Gbps SFP+ port, and a client device is connected to port 3, there won't be connectivity on the SFP+ port?
