Model: Archer AX58
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.4 Build 20240509 rel.64683(4555)

Since last week, I've been facing connectivity issues to certain applications.

  • I can't make calls and video calls via WhatsApp outside the network, but I can send messages.
  • I can't join a discord voice call, but I can send messages.
  • I can't activate an OpenVPN that I need to access external servers.
  • Can't even make a speed test at https://www.speedtest.net/

I usually reboot the router and I've already done a factory reset, where I managed to mitigate these problems for a few moments, but they started happening again. Was it some firmware update that is blocking something related to this (some port)?

  @Joseph-TP

Hello. Thank for the quick reply :)

I've updated the firmware, I haven't tested everything, but at least the whatsapp is still not working. Or it works initially and then it stops.

I can video call to another phone inside the same network, and I can use my ISP router (DIGI) to make voice calls to other people.

Is there any test I can do when it fails? Dowloading the router system logs can help finding the problem?

Hi @Enorio,

It is recommended that you can change DNS of router for a try: How to Change the DNS servers on the wireless router

Hard reset the router and reconfigure it with basic settings for a try: Press and hold the RESET Button/Hole until the Power LED blinks to reset the router to its factory default settings.

If it doesn't work, please take screenshots with error message and send here.
