New Tapo C200 tilt not working
New Tapo C200 tilt not working
Hi, I have just purchased and set up a new Tapo C200 camera and installed a an sd card. Everything seems to be working ok except for the tilt control. Every time I try to tilt up or down on app a message appears saying "camera pan-tilt has reached maximum extent in this direction . Please drag to another direction" Can anyone help?

Good day.
For the Tapo C200, Pan and Tilt: 360º horizontal and 114º vertical range.
So could you please help me record a video clip about the rotating range of your camera?
By the way, how long have you had the camera and when did this issue start?
Would reboot or reset temporarily fix this issue?
Thank you very much!

Good day.
Can I have a picture of the error message?
Have you tried to reboot the camera or manually move the camera in case the camera lens was stuck?
Thank you very much!

@Brook I have just set up 2 of these cameras. One tilts and rotates the other will only rotate and when trying to tilt presents the same message as in the original post. Rebooting and reinstalling have made no difference and nothing is presenting the lens from moving- any ideas?

@TP-Link Hello, the item was brand new and was replaced by the retailer. The replacement item is working fine and I am very pleased with the product, and have ordered two more.
It is slightly disappointing to see plenty of references on the web to this problem. Lets hope my two additional units work when received.
Regards

Replacement resolved the issue. You can also try to update the firmware to the latest version. It will go through a self test upon completion, including the tilt and pan of the device.

@Kjjakobsen Hello,
I have replied in your another post, you could manually move the tapo camera in case its physically stuck and see if could rotate smoothly afterwards.
If still the same problem, we'd like to follow up your case via email, please let check your inbox later~
