Model: Tapo C210
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1.12

Just received the camera, and when it started up the default resolution was full HD

According to what I've read, for the RTSP stream1 to stream the highest resolution, I need to change the camera to the 3MP resolution via the Tapo App.

I've done that, but there is no obvious change in the quality of the resolution.

Is there a problem with the camera, or have I overlooked something?

Hello @SurreyNorthern

It is possible to stream on 3MP resolution through RTSP as guide here

How can I play an RTSP live stream of my Tapo camera

Please check if there is any firmware update for your camera

Confirm Tapo camera firmware and app are both up to date.

Try to reboot tapo camera on the app.

If the above does not help, can you set on camera on 1080P and 3MP separately and share the screenshots for comparison, you could share via link via private message or attach photo here.  You may also use take a screenshot using the software and see there is any difference on image size. Thank you.
