Tapo network limitations and dont run smart TV on same network
I am running a type n system = 600Mps
I had a lot of trouble at first trying to get Quad view working properly. I am not net savvy but ok pc wise
I found the only way to get a stable quad view was to run all my 6 cameras at LO/720 res.
It works for broad overview but
zooming in it clearly becomes pixelated so difficult for suspect ID
I tried 1080p HI and whilst I could get it to work it was distinctly jittery and blocky vid - I only did one camera like this to test but better fo zooming in for facial snaps
I tried 3Mp and this was very clunky and I wouldnt trust its stability but a much better and usable facial ID
Can anyone explain how all this works - it doesnt seem like a network limit, more like the Tapo link app cant cope
I found it necessary to remove my smart LG TV back to the main ISP router. It seemed to cause unexplained dropouts on Tapo
I want stability and reliability surveillance system so sticking with 720p which does a lot of what I need
I suspect if you really want an intruder alarm system then the PIR flood light might be more useful and reliable adjunct to vid cams
What do you think
