I am running a type n system = 600Mps

I had a lot of trouble at first trying to get Quad view working properly. I am not net savvy but ok pc wise

I found the only way to get a stable quad view was to run all my 6 cameras at LO/720 res.

It works for broad overview but

zooming in it clearly becomes pixelated  so difficult for suspect ID

I tried 1080p HI and whilst I could get it to work it was distinctly jittery  and blocky vid - I only did one camera like this to test but better fo zooming in for facial snaps

I tried 3Mp and this was very clunky and I wouldnt trust its stability but a much better and usable facial ID

Can anyone explain how all this works - it doesnt seem like a network limit, more like the Tapo link app cant cope

I found it necessary to remove my smart LG TV  back to the main ISP router.  It seemed to cause unexplained dropouts on Tapo

I want stability and reliability surveillance system so sticking with 720p which does a lot of what I need

I suspect if you really want an intruder alarm system then the PIR flood light might be more useful and reliable adjunct to vid cams

What do you think

@Robintes

Thank you for posting on the TP-Link community.

Please check if all the camera can play stably in single view.

If they can, I am afraid the unstable Quad view may be related to the performance of your phone. If decoding ability of a phone is not good, 720P will provide more stable liveview than 1080p.

May I know what is model and OS of your phone? Do you have another phone to try the Quad view as well?

I have been using Lenovo 8" and 10" tablets (failrly new all Android 6+ with 64G memory added and strip of non essential apps) Quad view was unusable as described I now have a set up where a cam has a dedicated screen. Even this wasnt perfect and i go freezes. I found it necessary to ensure that I only had one camera selected for display on each tablet. I found sometimes if I did something on one tablet (like add /remove cams) this sometimes affected the other cams making them freeze. Tapping to regenerate didnt work, must go back to home and start again Its all a mystery I get the impression that Tapo app was only ever meant to work on a single phone and hasnt been tested on multiple tablets.
