Model: Tapo C200
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1.16 and 1.1.17

Hi

I have three Tapo C200 cameras. Two is on Hardware version 1.0 and the last 2.0. And the two on 1.0 is on firmware 1.1.16 and the one on HW 2.0 has firmware 1.1.17. How come it is not the same and all three.
When trying to update the app tells me they are all up to date.

What can I do?!

Looking forward to hearing from you

Michael

- some correction

Hello

Thank you for asking. Hardware version could not be upgraded or downgraded, and device need to use firmware according to its hardware version and country version .

Tapo C200  V1 and V2 versions are basically the same on the hardware specification or software features, some features could be slightly different due to firmware release stages.

So please rest assured to use them.

Hello  @Solla-topee

I am referring to the Tapo C200 and not C310.

So the problem is that my cameras, all three C200, are different models and therefore different Hardware Version?

There is some difference in the one with HW 2.0 and Firmware 1.1.17 compared to the HW 1.0, FW 1.1.16 ... I have a option to select video quality in the menus, which nice and I can choose to write my own placement and don't have to select from the predefined list. I am guessing there are more.

I have read some people talt about FW 1.1.18?!

But generally I have three cameras but two are older and can not be updated?

  Hello @Mboesen

Thank you for the reply, I'm afaid hardware version can't be changed on a device, V1 has V1 firmware that could not be updated, as checked V1 1.1.16 is the latest version so far.

On Tapo C200 V1 you could select HQ/LQ to change resolution from 1080 to 360P.

If the firmware are released at different times,  the software feature could have slight differences. Thank you for the feedback with video quality feature, I'd record this feature request first and see if there is any plan to add this setting on V1.
