But just lately it has refused to go past certain areas saying its at its limit, when clearly it is not. The camera also puts itself offline quite regularly. Any ideas please folks?

For camera says its reach the limit in motion tracking, ensure the camera is on the latest firmware.
If still the same, it is recommended to consider new models like Tapo or Kasa cameras.
