Hello everyone,
We have Battery Pack Tapo A100 available in some countries, and it's recommended to go to Where to Buy on the TP-Link official website of your country to check whether Tapo A100 is for sale if you want to buy a Tapo A100. And please wait patiently if the Tapo A100 is not available now and pay attention to updates on the official website.
Note: Tapo A100 works with Tapo C420, Tapo C400, Tapo D230, and more products will be supported in the future.

Thank you for reaching out to the community.
As far as I know the Tapo C420/ Tapo C420S2 's battery does not sell separately.
If the device or battery is bad or defective, you can reach our local support/ RMA team and get the Camera and battery replaced under the warranty.

Kind does and does not answer my question if that makes sense?
I need spare batteries, there is nothing wrong with the batteries I have.
When the current batteries which are all OK require charging, I can have spare batteries charged in preparation to swop offer. Then I save having to climb a ladder twice, i.e. I go up the ladder once and simply exchange the flat batteries for pre-charged spare batteries.
There must be an equivalent battery out there on the market place that is similar in power output and fitting requirements as these batteries? Do you know of any?

@UnhapPap I too agree with you. I want spare batteries for same reason:
I want to reduce my trips up and down the ladder for 2 cameras by having spare cameras and I'm pretty sure the owners manual or packaging indicated I could have spare batteries?
I will look for the manual and packaging and see if I can find that mentioned.

Your own instructions, the ones that tell people how to set up the camera, state to procure a spare battery.
It's obvious to anyone that spare batteries would be required.

@UnhapPap I have a similar problem, except one of my batteries has failed. TP-link tells me that it's not covered under warranty because it was used in a beta test (by me), and therefore has no warranty. System test in last quarter, 2022, so lasted less than 6 months. Not a very good recommendation for what is otherwise a good camera. If you find a source, would you post it here? I'll do likewise.

@ElLobo I will definitely post here if I EVER find a battery or if TP-Link Tapo supply spare batteries to purchase. As a Beta tester, very disappointing they still won't help you out.
