This is a must have for these cameras.

Here is just one use case.

When home, I want my cameras recording activities for liability purposes. I've got two dogs and a public path that runs by my house. But, when I'm home I do NOT want notifications that the lawn guy is outside spreading fertilizer or the pest guy is spraying outside my home or the kids are in the pool or I'm out there picking up dog droppings.  I don't want the C246D PTZ lense tracking everyone's movements or alarms going off.  I'm home, my cameras need to record these activities, but that's it.

When I'm home and asleep, I do want these notifications and alarms.  Someone walks around my pool at 2am?  Yeah, sound that alarm baby!

When I leave, same thing.  Alarm and notifications.

The problem?  I'm not a single dude living by myself.  I have a wife and two kids.  Sometimes I've left the house and they are home.  Sometimes I'm traveling and they are home.

Is the TP-Link official position that I need to give my TP-Link username and password to my wife and daughters so they can log in as me?  That is a horrible security practice. And then we need to hope that my wife and kids (who are not very tech savy) will remember to always turn on Home or Away mode when they leave the house?  I can't get my youngest daughter to always remember to lock the front door for crying out loud!

In a perfect world, I'd be able to setup an automation through TP-Link or Smarththings or Alexa or IFFTT or whatever that would allow me to set Home/Away on my Tapo cameras at the same time I'm setting Armed/Disarmed modes on door sensors, water sensors, motion sensors, and locks in all my other automation environments.
