I have been asking for these changes for at least two years which prevent me from using Tapo as an anti-theft system. Today I had another disappointment: sockets and relays with consumption monitoring do not allow you to receive a notification via the app when a certain consumption level is exceeded. Something that other manufacturers instead allow. I really think I'll abandon Tapo and go elsewhere.

For me, the problem remains the same: activating cameras AND door sensors SIMULTANEOUSLY by clicking the AwayHome button and deactivating the alarms with the At Home button.

I don't really think it's a technical issue preventing this function. Tapo probably doesn't care.

I'm also looking into how to solve this problem. Home Assistant would solve it, but that would require buying a Raspberry Pi and learning how to use Home Assistant. All this because Tapo doesn't allow for a simple change to the app.

As I posted, I found an acceptable working solution using Smartthings

But, FYI, Arlo updated their app very recently and it's geofencing is now working for my single ArloQ camera. It's only taken them 7 years since I first reported it
