Hi, have you checked on one more 2.4GHz device?
And what is the model number of this mobile phone?
Please also go to Deco APP>More>Network Optimization and optimize the network once in case there is heavy wireless interference.
Best regards.

Hi, Deco X50_V1/V1.2 with the latest firmware support VPN server/client and HomeShield.
After adding Deco X50 as the main Deco, the new Mesh system will start using HomeShield and support VPN. The new Mesh network will also have the signal source selection.
Best regards.
Not yet. If the official version is ready, I will update the community as soon as possible.
Best regards.

@David-TP I had been told a while back the 1.7 support for the S4 was still on the way, yet it still seems far out of reach. It's been years since the S4 was last updated. Has support for this model simply been dropped?

Hi, Nice to see you again.
Deco S4 is very similar to Deco M4 in many ways. I think there will be similar firmware released to Deco S4_V2.
It is quite like Deco X50_V1 and users often complained to me why we only updated Deco X50_V1. Actually, similar firmware will gradually roll out to other models.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback.
Any chance you could let me know what happened to "Network Optimization"?
I think 1.7.0 or recent APP updates don't make any modifications to this feature yet.
Best regards.

@David-TP But that's what I struggle to understand. If the M4 and S4 are so similar, why has the S4 not been updated? A gradual rollout is gradual, sure it can take time, but this has been nonexistent to this point. There's no sign of it or any sign it's being worked on. If they're similar, surely it shouldn't take months or years between them?

installed just now on M4R v2.0.
Smart DHCP can be disabled - test successfull - after physical disconnect from ETH the Deco is going red, after reconnect is all fine again - red-madness is apparently gone
on the other hand, I cannot open Systen Parameters in Advenced menu of WebUI - just eternal spinning circle........
