Tapo C520WS sound quality
The sound quality on my c52ows is very poor , its quiet ,muffeld and intermittent, i can't even hear a car passing by.
In comparison i can easily hear people talking in street on my igeek camera.
Adjusting the mic gain doesn't help at all.
This seems to be an issue with these with many people complaining about the problem, is it a hardware or software problem?

@bob-one I have been informed that there will be a firmware fix for it but unfortuately i no longer have the c520ws to try it.
I do still have the cw325ws which is better but still not as good as my old iegeek cameras in the sound department which cost a lot less.

Hi,
For the Tapo C520WS, please send me(@Solla-topee) the MAC address and Forum ID 652178 via a private message, we can send new firmware for the camera to check if it will improve the audio quality.
On the camera Tapo C220's Live View page, please tap the Call icon to enter the Voice Call page, then tap the icon at the right top corner, adjust the camera's microphone and speaker value to the highest one, and then check if the sound from the Tapo C220 will be better.
If the problem remains, please send me a video showing its audio quality, and let me know the usage scenario when you record the video.

@John0001 They can't have fixed it via firmware then, its unfortunate i sent mine back as i would like to have tried the new firmware.
The fixed camera is fine so i'm guessing its an attempt to not to pick up the motor noise from the camera.

Thanks, I upgrade the Camera Tapo CW-520 (now the firmware is 1.2.6. 240126 Rel. 32189n).
I cant hear aby sound. Adjusting the mic gain doesn't help at all.
Its a hardware problem (bad microphone ??) or its firmware problem ?

Hi,
1. Do you mean can't hear Baby sounds when watching the camera's live view page on your phone and the C520WS is monitoring your baby?
2. Can you hear the sound from the camera when someone talks in front of the camera, or you can use another phone to play music/video in front of the camera, and check if you can hear it when watching the camera.

Yes, I hear any noise or music. Adjusting the mic gain doesn't help at all. - its set on maximum. I hear only the noise from camera motor when I change the position of camera only UP/DOWN PTZ button (changing position in left, right PTZ - NO noise)
