Pet Detection not Working
I have a wall mounted C420S1 camera mounted less than 10ft as recommended from the ground with Person, Motion and Pet detection enabled. However, all notifications I'm getting are for either person or motion detection, but nothing for pet detection. So even though my pets cross within the camera view regularly, nothing is triggered. I've increased the sensitivity for pet detections and allowed activity and rich notifications for all three detection types. Is this a known issue or is there something you can recommend to fix?

I am having the same issue. I have followed all steps suggested by Tapo / TP-Link's online chat service but nothing has worked.

Hi,
Thank you very much for the information you provided. After our analysis and optimization efforts, we anticipate that significant improvements to the pet detection feature on the C520WS may not occur in the short term. The Pet Detection feature is still a beta feature on the C520WS, and we are actively working to enhance it. If this feature was the main reason for you to purchase it, you might consider contacting your retailer to check if you can return it.
Best Regards

Thanks for your reply.
This doesn't explain how the pet detection was working before the firmware update however as mentioned by other users too.
Please can this be escalated and I be contacted via email as was done with the user here?

I have to agree, it worked perfectly when I purchased it and then just stopped working after the firmware update. If I remember correctly the pet detection was not in the "beta phase" when I bought it and it worked, it was only after the update it showed "beta" and stopped working.
