Hi,

 

Can the doorbell be setup on alexa to only announce when someone presses the bell, and not when it detects motion.(I've seen in older posts that you cant, but newer ones saying a firmware update now allows this, so i wanted to double check).

 

Also can the local storage be accessed remotely so that i can see/download the recordings when im not home?

This can be achieved by creating an Alexa routine, using Doorbell as the Trigger (When). E.g. When D230 is Pressed, Then xxx.

 

Local recordings can be viewed remotely but not downloaded.

  @Shoob  Hi, check the instructions here: https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/faq/3732/, I think selecting Doorbell Press Announcements on the D230 and not selecting other detection announcements is suited for you.
