  @capofalcone

Hi,
Your case has been escalated to the tech team, it's recommended to contact them directly via email to confirm if there is a firmware for the TC70.
Best Regards

  @capofalcone It sounds like the camera is working well for motion detection, but the audio issue is definitely frustrating. Even with fast Wi-Fi, it's strange that the sound quality is so poor, especially with SD recordings. If you're looking to enhance your video content, maybe adding some clear Soundeffekte could help cover the unusable audio and improve the overall experience. However, the manufacturer should definitely address this issue to improve the two-way audio quality.

  @Lineaxena the problem is noise suppression algorithm. it removes not only noise but also sounds you should hear remotely. there is no option to remove noise suppression

  @capofalcone any one know why this issue hasn't been fixed. I have just purchased 2 x C125, one of their latest models and the audio is pointless. Surely if noise reduction is the issue why are TP link/tapo still launching new models within this audio problem. Why are you selling sub standard hardware or software when you know there is an active problem

Surely this should either be fixed by an update or the substandard hardware recalled. If this was a food product it would be recalled why is it ok to continue selling faulty products and make money when the product is faulty.

  @Dr_Dolittle

no, it has not been solved.
the camera audio, for my use, is completely useless and unusable.
there is no way to disable the noise reduction, this makes it so that if you don't speak clearly within a few inches of the camera, no sound is recognizable. there can be a faucet with a waterfall of water coming out and you wouldn't hear anything remotely, being a noise is removed.
for those who use a camera for security reasons, it is absolutely unacceptable that there is no setting to remove the noise filter.
I was suggested to change cameras, but it doesn't make any sense because I would be in the exact same situation anyway.
embarrassing!

  @capofalcone  were you able to try the beta firmware they proposed to you?

I've had the same problem for years and only now have I found this technical conversation.

I have the same problem on the TC40 outdoor, and on the C210 indoor.

both features updated to the latest firmware available but the problem never solved...

the sounds are heard very softly and very far away... impossible to understand a conversation made under them.

I was thinking of enlarging the hole in correspondence with the microphone but I never had the chance to do it.

If the beta firmware they proposed to you was working it could be a solution

  @SM4rk

No, the firmware wasn't compatible with my camera. They offered to replace it, but I never went through with it because the camera is installed in a place I rarely visit, and I'd have to get it shipped to a location where customs are a nightmare. So I gave up!

Unfortunately, there's no way to disable the noise suppression, which is what makes these cameras useful only for video—audio is basically useless. It's a real shame because it would probably be enough to have a simple "disable noise suppression" flag; it shouldn't be that complicated. In the end, I gave up and kept using it as is—just for video. The audio is pointless.
