Hi,
You can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot when failing to configure the camera.
What should I do if I fail to configure Tapo Camera?
If the problem remains, please confirm:
1. The LED status on the camera when configuring it.
2. What error message appears on the Tapo app when configuring it?
3. The model number of your router, and do you have internet when connecting to your router's Wi-Fi?
4. The detailed troubleshooting you did and the results.

Hi,
If you fail to connect your camera to the router's Wi-Fi when configuring the camera, please try:
1. Ensure your router's Wi-Fi is working with your phone, tablet, laptop, etc.
2. Ensure VPN is Disabled on the phone and router if there is one.
3. Confirm you have entered the correct password when connecting to the router's Wi-Fi. If your Wi-Fi password includes special characters, such as @, &, etc., change the password for a try.
4. You can try to enable a hotspot Wi-Fi on your phone, factory reset the camera, reconfigure it to connect to the hotspot Wi-Fi on a different phone, and check if you can set it up and if it works fine.

Hi,
1. Check if your router has special settings, such as MAC Filter, firewall rules, etc., that may block the cameras from connecting.
2. If the 2.4G and 5G have the same Wi-Fi name, change the 2.4G Wi-Fi name for a try.
