Poor Audio Quality C225 C500
I recently bought Tapo C225 and C500 cameras. The audio quality of both cameras is poor, so I can't hear conversations clearly. They are much worse than my old TP-link cameras. I notice that the background noise level of the old cameras is high, but I can hear the conversations clearly. I think the issue of the new cameras is caused by the noise cancellation. But I can't find a way to disable the noise cancellation feature.
I read from another post that other users of C220 solved this issue with another firmware:

I would like to know where I can find the firmware to disable noise cancellation for C225 and C500. Thanks a lot!

Hi,
Typically, the audio quality of the Tapo C220 should be improved with the latest official firmware(1.2.1). If you have an audio quality issue:
1. You can download a video showing the reported issue manually on the camera's Live View page, upload it to your cloud server(such as Google Drive), generate a link to download it, and send me the link via a private message for further analysis.
2. How about the microphone and speaker volume set on the Tapo app for your camera?

@Solla-topee I have three C225 cameras Hardware Version 2.0 running Firmware 1.0.11 Build 240826 Rel 62730n. The Audio from all these cameras is unintelligible and I cannot make out any conversations. I read earlier in the thread that you solved this issue for others with a special firmware. Could you help me out also?

@Solla-topee Hi, I bought yesterday a new C500 and mounted it. Realy nice cam but i can not hear anything, just poor noise.. Is this the same issue as mentioned in this post and can this be fixed with an firmware update?? Hope to hear from you.

Hi,
1. Please make sure the Tapo app and your camera's firmware are up to date.
2. If the problem remains, please send me the following information for further analysis.
1) Send me(@Solla-topee) "Forum ID 676454+ camera's MAC address" via a private mesage.
2) On the Tapo app > Camera's Live View > Talk page, tap the icon at the top right corner and set the camera's Speaker and Microphone volume to the highest value. Try to record a video manually on the camera's Live View page that shows the reported issue, and then send it to us.
You can upload the video to your cloud server(such as Google Drive), generate a link to download it, and send it to me via a private message.
