Tapo D230 V1.2

Note: We will gradually release the new firmware (1.1.17 Build 20240731 rel.53514) for Tapo D230 V1.2. If you have not detected the new firmware in the Tapo app, please be patient.

Firmware Modifications and Bug fixes:

1. Added more battery statistics on the Battery Status page.
2. Support Auto Response in Doorbell settings which can automatically respond to visitors with a prerecorded message.
3. Added Working Mode on the Battery Status page, and support to set different modes to achieve high performance or save power.
4. Added support to set activity zones for Package Detection.
5. Optimized detection performance.
6. Fixed the issue of missing ringtones for the Hub.
7. Fixed some minor bugs.

Highlight Features Introduce:

Feature 1. More battery statistics were added to the Battery Status page.

On the Tapo app> the Doorbell camera’s Device Settings> Battery Status page, you can see more battery statistics in the past 7 days or 30 days, including the Battery Level, Battery Usage, Time of Use, and Wake-up Times.

Feature 2. Added Working Mode in Battery Status

On the Doorbell camera’s Battery Status> Working Mode page, you can select different working modes: High Performance, Balanced, Power Saving, and Custom.
Detection and recording consume battery power. You can switch to different working modes with varying detection and recording parameters to balance performance and battery consumption.

High Performance Mode: detects more often and records longer to capture more events.
Balanced Mode: Set as the default, this mode is ideal for most situations and designed to conserve energy.
Power-Saving Mode: This mode reduces detection and recording parameters to minimize power use.
Custom Mode: Customize the recording settings based on your needs.

Note:
1. You can tap “Learn More>>” to see more introduction of these working modes.
2. When the Auto Power Saving Mode is enabled, the Doorbell camera will activate Power Saving Mode automatically when the battery level drops below 10%, and then restore to the previous working mode when the battery level is over 10%.

Feature 3. Support to set activity zones for Package Detection.

On the Doorbell camera’s Device Settings> Detection page, if you have enabled the Package Detection feature, it’s recommended to set an activity zone to make this feature work more accurately.
On the Package Detection page, you can adjust the Sensitivity value, and after tapping the Activity Zone, you can add or remove the activity zones, and the camera will only detect packages in custom zones.
