Tapo C720 Camera lens fault
There are large marks, blotches or blemishes on the videos and photos taken by this camera at night. It is on the right of the image, and I have arrowed the area on one of the images. These marks do not show during the day.
I have cleaned the lens carefully with a proper camera lens cleaner, examined the lens closely and cannot see any scuff marks or scratches on it.
Could it be that the C720 lens is faulty internally?

Hi,
Your problem may be caused by the reflection of the top and side walls within the camera's monitoring range in night mode.
It is recommended that you adjust the camera's installation or lens position to minimize the reflection of the wall and check if the problem will disappear.

Thank you for getting back to me about this.
OK. I have adjusted the camera straight ahead into this position. Before, it was turned to the left as far as it could go. I will test it out tonight and see how it goes.
By the way, is that bulb shape under the camera (see arrow) an infrared light for the camera?

Thank you, Just to let you know that with the camera pointing straight ahead, the reflection blotches or flaring are not showing on the videos or photos anymore. However, I cannot keep the camera pointing there because it is not covering my veranda and driveway. I will need to point it more to the left and try and keep the reflection as low as possible.

Hi,
The bulb shape under the camera is not infrared light for the camera, it's the motion sensor.
