Hi,
1. Have you enabled the Motion Tracking feature on the camera, and the camera does not return to its original position after tracking an event?
Generally, if no new event is detected within 30 seconds, the camera will back to the original position after tracking.
2. Can you send us a picture of the Tracking feature configured on the Tapo app for your camera?
Could you please share a video showing the reported issue?
Best Regards

Thanks for the reply.
Hardware Ver: 1
Picture 1: shows the original position of the camera which must return after 30sec of an even recorded.
However Picture2: shows a position of the camera which stays there without returning to the original position after recording an event at that location. If the camera moved to another position to record an event, It stays in that position forever.
Picture 3: shows the Tracking settings of the camera.
I've already rebooted the camera a few times from the App, Turned the power on/off from plug a several times. Still no luck.

Hi,
We do not have information about when the new official firmware that solves the reported issue will be rolled out. It's suggested to pay attention to the firmware release info of the Tapo C520WS on our official website.

Well that's not very helpful.
Update 1.2.9 has broken the camera behavior and it's not even listed under your mentioned URL and you suggest that I follow it.
As a hotfix I had to stop motion tracking completely because I ended up with a cam turned to a wall not monitoring the area at all and had to reset it 10 times a day.
