Model: Tapo C220
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.14

Have a few security concerns with the requirements for using these cameras.
1. Device requires internet access to configure?
2. No local UI or API to update SSID/password

Can understand the "convenicne" of having only an app to configure, but there's no reason that it should require BOTH the phone and device(camera) on the internet.

What is TP-LINK's solution for putting these cameras on an customer's isolated network?

Hi,
1. When you register a TP-Link account, the process requires an internet connection. After you log in to the Tapo app with your account, you can connect your phone to the Wi-Fi network that the camera will connect to, then try to configure the camera, connect it to that Wi-Fi network. This Wi-Fi network can be no internet connection, however, after configuration, the camera can be controlled only when your phone connects to the same Wi-Fi network as the camera.

2. Currently, there is no local UI to allow the camera to change the Wi-Fi settings, you need to reset the camera and reconfigure it to connect to a new Wi-Fi network.

Note: If the Wi-Fi network does not allow the connected devices to communicate with each other, it's unable to configure the camera.

Best Regards
