Requesting Static IP C310 V2
I am requesting the option of setting a static IP Adress for my C310 V2. I can't understand how an update in Hardware results in a downgrade in features. I heavily rely on this feature since my router is ISP controlled due to having a radio link connection. The C310 V1 I wanted to replace with this camera was capable of static IP. Otherwise better call it a V0.5 for correct advertising.

Hi,
The camera's firmware on different hardware versions is different even if the camera model is the same. For the Tapo C310 V2, the static IP address feature is planned to be added in the next official firmware. We suggest waiting patiently for the new firmware.
Currently, you can reserve an IP address on the router for the camera if you want it to obtain the same IP address from the router.
Best Regards

Let me know if you want help setting a reserved IP address on your router for your camera.
Depending on your router, it should take less than 15 minutes.
Thanks,
Paul

Thank you for the offer. I am capable of setting a IP reservation myself. But since the installed router, which also serves as the DHCP Server, is ISP controlled and the GUI not even accessible from inside the network, I am not able to do that. My only option is to start a huge set of communications with my ISP technical support every time I need them to add or edit a IP reservation.
Due to not having an DSL, fibre, or cable supply but a radio link ISP they cannot give me access to their router. I also thought about setting my own second layer router as a different subnet but that would overcomplicate everything else with my already arranged port forwarding in the ISP router.
Setting up my own DHCP instead is also not an option due to impacting the whole network in case of a failure. I am only on site a couple of weeks per year. That might result in the whole network failing and not being operational for almost a year of time in case of a defect in my DHCP hardware.
Static IP is the most basic and simple approach.
Hoping for the Firmware to be released soon. Otherwise I will have to get other cameras for my next visit. The newly installed cameras wont be recording on my NVR until then.
