Unable to update firmware
Hi
I have 2x C510w cameras. A firmware update was released last week for firmware Version: 1.3.1 Build 241111 Rel.29618n.
1x camera updated fine but my other camera won't update. It just says it's either downloading firmware or installing firmware but doesn't do anything.
Any ideas what I can do?
Thanks

Hi,
You can check if the following steps will be helpful.
1. Please reboot your router, and turn off the firewall and antivirus on it for a try.
2. Ensure the Tapo app is up to date.
3. Reboot the camera for a try.
Best Regards

Good morning. I've tried everything. It just won't work. It stays like this until eventually it times out which can be hours

I wouldn't rush to do this update. Since updating from 1.2.3 to 1.3.1 my C510W no longer tracks movement and stays in one position. 🤷🏻♂️

@AABBCC_CCBBAA Oh no. I might skip that firmware then 🫣 I had issues with a different model previously and hats off to Tapo, they created a firmware for me to install to fix it, and it did. Don't give up on them, their customer service is great

Hi,
You can try to factory reset the camera and reconfigure it, then check if the case will be solved.

@Solla-topee How can I factory reset the camera? I have this problem with one of my TC41 cameras (the other one still haven't updated the firmware). There should be a command line tool for upgrade/downgrade manually the firmwares.
