Model: Tapo C500
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Thanks in advance. My Tapo C500 worked perfectly for about a month, then stopped. It will not connect to the wifi. I have tried resetting it.  I have deleted the Tapo app from my samsung phone and reinstalled it. When I open the app, the camera page (0) cameras > add devices>Tapo C500>power up and check the LED.(When I turn the power on the LED shows red solid for about 20 seconds then red flashing about 20 times then green flashing 20 times and does this continuously.>Next>Connect to your Tapo device. Says I'm already connected.> then says "It seems you are already connected">continue> Tapo is looking for your device>Unable to connect to your Tapo device?????                                 Am I doing something wrong? Or is their something wrong with the camera? I had no trouble when I set it up initially.

Hi,
Typically, you can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot when you fail to set up the camera.
What should I do if I fail to configure Tapo Camera?

In your case, the LED status on the camera is incorrect when you configure it, the LED should be flashing red and green rather than flashing green.
1) Please power on the camera, wait for 2 minutes, press the reset button on it for 10 seconds, and then check if the LED will turn to flash red and green.
2) On your phone > Settings > Wi-Fi page, please check if you can see the default SSID(Tapo_Cam_XXXX) of the camera after resetting it.

Best Regard

@Solla-topee  Thanks but the LED will only flash as I have described. It did flash red and green when i originally installed it.

Hi,
Please try the following steps.
1) Make sure the internet is stable and the router has a strong signal.
2) Power off the camera.
3) Move the camera closer to the router and power on the camera.
4) Wait for around 10 minutes, and check if the LED on the camera will change.

If the LED has no change, and you are sure the reset operation is correct, it may be the camera has an issue. You can contact your retailer or local team to check if the camera is under warranty.

Best Regards

Re:Camera was working. Now not working.
Sunday

@Solla-topee  The problem appears to be the camera. After moving it much closer to the router (it was only around 10m anyway) it could still not be seen. I will return to the store, no problem. I was so impressed by this camera after I had originally installed it that I went back to the retailer and bought another one. I have now installed this one and it is working fine. BTW, I notice that the first one was V2 and the new one is V1. What is the difference? Thanks for your help.

Hi,
The basic functions and features are the same on both versions, only the package and product label were updated for the general product iteration.
Best Regards
