Hi 

I can't seem to finish the connection process.

I get all the way to the point after connecting to my home wifi. Next stap is pairing and it always fails. Camera has solid amber light at point of failure. Any ideas?

Hi,
Typically, you can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot if you fail to set up the camera.
What should I do if I fail to configure Tapo Camera?
 

Please confirm the following information if the problem remains.
  1. Please list the troubleshooting you did and the test results.
  2. Please ensure the Tapo app is up to date, then try to factory reset the camera and reconfigure it.
  3. You can try to enable a hotspot Wi-Fi on your phone, factory reset the camera, configure it with another phone, connect it to the hotspot Wi-Fi, and then check if you can set it up successfully.
