Model: Tapo C310
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.4.1

We have 4 cameras.

one C310 (hardwired drilled through my outside wall) at the front of the house, one TC82 at the back and two tc60 in our dining room for the puppy. (A needy cockapoo of course!)

the TC82 is unaffected by this issue but the other 3 ARE affected.

the option to adjust clip length, retrigger time, all that jazz, has disappeared for both TC60 cameras and the c310 camera. I've checked firmware, checked for updates, rebooted them all, then reset them all, uninstalled them from the app and set them up as new, I've done it all and the option is still missing. With the TC82 it's under "storage and recordings" and clip settings. Where it's always been for the other three cameras but it's gone and all I have is "local recording" "local storage" and "record sohnd" I've checked under video and display, notifications, advanced, smart actions, detection and alarm as well as app settings etc.

anyone any ideas on this?! Because I currently have a camera drilled into the front of my house all the way through to a bedroom that I can't schedule/set up trigger times or clip settings etc rendering it a bit useless when it's missing things that happened 50 seconds after the last detection 🙈

thanks aall

Hi,
The Tapo cameras powered by power adapters do not have the options to adjust the clip length, retrigger time, etc. Only the battery-powered cameras have these options.

Tapo cameras powered by power adapters, such as Tapo C310 and TC60, have default settings related to clip length.
    1. If the detection video clip is stored on a microSD card, the camera will record when there is an event trigger within the detection zone, and the recording will continue for 1 minute after the detection activity has ended. The maximum length of a detection video clip is 3 minutes.
    2. If the detection video clip is stored on the Tapo Care cloud server, the maximum length of a detection video clip is 3 minutes, and the recording will continue for 10 seconds after the detection activity has ended.

For the short video clip issue, please confirm the following information.
  1. Have you stored the video clips on our cloud server or an SD card inserted into the camera?
  2. Would you please send me a video clip showing the short length issue for checking? You can upload the video to your cloud server(such as Google Drive), generate a link to download it, and send me(@Solla-topee) the link via a private message.

Best Regards
