Tapo C530WS freezes after 1-2 sec in live view

Just connected a C530WS and it freezes after 1-2 seconds when starting live view. I read that several users have the same error. I don't understand why they don't send out an update that solves this? I have reset the camera, tried different video qualities, nothing helps. I have 3 other Tapo cameras that work without problems.

Hi,
Please confirm the following information for the reported issue for further analysis.
1. Please ensure the camera's firmware and the Tapo app are up to date. You can try to watch the camera on a different phone if you have one.
2. On the Tapo app > camera's Device Settings > Device Info page, please tap the Wi-Fi icon and check the RSSI value. If the RSSI value is less than -70dBm, you can move the camera closer to the router and check if it helps.
3. Do you have the reported issue when your phone connects to the same Wi-Fi as the camera? How about controlling it in the remote network, such as via mobile data?
4. If you are using a VPN, try turning it off and disabling any network filtering and security software that may interfere with the connection on your phone.
Best Regards

I have two C530WS V2.0 and they suffer very bad from freezes especially when the lightning is bright. When auto tracking, or just moving the camera the freezing is very bad. I believe there is somethind wrong with WDR, HDR ot something like that, unfortunately i can't turn them off. So with that amount of freeze during movement cameras are almost unusable. I hope firmware update to fix this.

@Patrikntdt did you happen to find a fix for this, having the same exact issue. Updated firmware, updated tapo app, confirmed proper ethernet connection, and multiple factory reset yet issue persists, sigh

@Patrikntdt ohh thanks for the quick reply! Appreciate it. I'm actually about to return mine as well haha your reply put the nail in the coffin. I'm tired of resetting, trying different cables, trying just wifi, then just eth cable, different adaptor, different device to control the cam, ensured both tapo app and firmware of device is updated, but all of my efforts got wasted it seems, none worked, issue persists.
do better tp-link, I have a C520ws which doesn't have this issue... Was hoping that the C530ws would perform better, if not, similar without issues, but oh well, there's only much troubleshooting I can do as end user
