I have literally just got the C125 and installed it tonight. Brilliant video , but the sound is totally awful both on live view and on recording. 
it's distorted and barely audible. 
The camera is in the kitchen and I am in my lounge. 
I see from recent threads that this could be a common issue with Tapo cameras , and I found it unbelievable it hasn't been sorted out. . If this is an issue I think I may have to return it. 
I had the tv in the other room on , and the distortion is really terrible. I have tried altering the microphone volume on the camera etc. 

is there anything else I can do ?

I've had other makes of cameras and never experienced terrible audio like this.

 Wanted to update and say technical sup[port sent a firmware update to my camera and now the audio is 100% .
not sure why they cant just fix the issue so its not there, but I am happy now and love the camera

Hi,
The camera's audio quality is related to the specific usage scenario. In your situation, please try moving the camera to a different location that is open and without electrical interference to see if the audio quality improves.

 

If the audio quality is still the same as before, please provide the following information for further analysis.
  1. Please send me (@Solla-topee) the camera's MAC address via a private message.

  2. Please send us a video showing the camera's audio quality. You can upload the video to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me via a private message.

thank you for your reply. 
I am now in conversation with tech support. 
I have read your recent replies on everyone else's posts and I have done everything suggested. 
The issue remains and it seems to be a very common fault , which is a real shame as I've looked for an alternative make and can't find one that does what I want. 
So I'm hoping this can be rectified for me. 
 

I have emailed 2 videos and MAC address to support.  Happy to send to you too. But I don't have a google drive account to upload the videos too.

How did u contact tec-support? I have a different model. But the new firmware broke my sound on my camera. I also want a firmware-update to fix this! :p :@
