Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice on installing the Tapo TC85 / C425 cameras.

I have a bungalow with an overhang boxing (fascia/soffit), and I’m planning to fix the camera plate to the underside of the soffit rather than the wall. The soffit is about 9 feet off the ground at the front of the house and around 10.5 feet at the back.

My concern is whether this height and mounting position are suitable, especially as I worry someone might just reach up and knock the cameras off. Are these cameras secure enough when mounted like this? Would you recommend any alternative mounting positions or security measures to prevent tampering - or even an alternative wireless battery camera?

Also, down the side of the house there’s a 10-metre walkway from front to back. The front door is halfway along this path, and I have a 6ft fence and gate just past the front door. I’m considering either installing another TC85 / C425 down the side or using a Tapo doorbell camera there?

Any advice on which option might be better for covering the side walkway, or general tips for mounting and securing these cameras on a bungalow would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
