C460 Latest Firmware introduced a new "Bug" (V1_1.1.7 Build 250619)
Hi,
I just want to report a potential new bug which has been introduced in the lastest firmware for these C460 cameras (V1).
I have two of these cameras and they both record fine, they are both set to only use "daylight" mode so never use the IR at night (theres plenty of light where they look so IR isnt needed).
So I have two Cameras both have been working fine. They've record fine and you can/could play back the recordings without a problem.
But one of them is on the previous firmware Tapo C460(EU)_V1_1.1.6 Build 250430 and that works great, but recently the other camera was offered the latest firmware Tapo C460(EU)_V1_1.1.7 Build 250619 so I upgraded it.
Now in the release notes for the firmware Tapo C460(EU)_V1_1.1.7 Build 250619 it mentions this:
"1. Fixed the issue that there is a flash of white light at the beginning of the recordings in infrared night mode."
So for me thats not relevant as I don't use IR mode so ive never see this problem. My cameras have always only been in "Day" mode even at night and playback has always been good.
BUT now on that one camera with the latest firmware whenever I play back a recorded clip there is flicker at the start and it goes RED for a split second, then it goes back to normal.
So it seems this "fix" for the IR has actually caused this red "flash" or flicker at the start of the standard (none IR) clips.
It wasnt there before and my other camera with the old Tapo C460(EU)_V1_1.1.6 Build 250430 doesnt have this issue and its only been introduced since the latest firmware upgrade.
Im guessing this upgraded firmware caused this.
Please relay this to your Devs so they can fix it in the next firmware.
For refererence both camera are using and SD card (not storing to a hub) and neither have 24/7 switched on. They are both simply using standard motion detection as they always have.
Many thanks
