Hi,
Our Tapo app does not require an OTP when logging in on a new device. Typically, you just need to enter your TP-Link account and password, then you can log in to the Tapo app on a new device when the 2FA feature is disabled.
It's recommended to double-check if you are using the Tapo app rather than other apps. For further analysis, please send us a video showing your login process.
You can upload the video to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.
Best Regards

Hi,
Have you enabled the 2FA feature on the Tapo app and can't log in to the Tapo app on one of your mobile devices because you can't receive the verification code, or the code has expired?
Here are the instructions for the 2FA feature: Making Your Account More Secure: Introducing Two-Step Verification (2FA) for the Tapo App
Typically, if you have received the verification code, it will expire after 10 minutes rather than 45 seconds. If you are referring to another OTP, please describe the usage scenario in detail.

@Solla-topee
No, I haven't enabled 2FA security. By default when logging in TP-Link Tapo account on Tapo app on a new device, I usually receive an OTP on my email ID which is only valid for 45 seconds, which I use for logging in. But recently, either OTP isn't coming or it comes after 45 seconds. So, I'm unable to login.
Whenever logging into my TP-Link Tapo account on Tapo app on a new device just the email ID and password isn't enough. It also required a 45sec valid OTP which is sent to account holder email ID.
Do let me know if you need any other specific information to help with this issue.....
