Tapo 520WS Returns to a Misaligned Viewpoint After Pet Tracking
Hello,
I've been using the Tapo 520WS for about two months. Initially, it worked perfectly. However, for the past week, I’ve been experiencing a persistent issue.
I have several viewpoints configured to quickly access specific areas, and I usually leave one of them set as the default. Before, when the camera detected my pet, it would follow the movement, and once the tracking stopped, it returned automatically to the default viewpoint — as expected.
Now, the problem is that after tracking, the camera returns to the default viewpoint slightly misaligned, especially along the vertical axis, and this misalignment gets worse over time. It seems like the camera loses its internal reference, because even when I switch to other viewpoints, they all maintain that same offset.
I can temporarily fix it by doing a pan & tilt correction, which brings the camera back to proper alignment. After that, all viewpoints work correctly again — until another tracking event causes the offset to reappear. At this point, it's becoming frustrating to have to manually correct the position two or three times a day.
I'm attaching a reference image showing the correct viewpoint, and a screenshot from the live view with the offset, where it's clear the camera is no longer covering the same area.

Best regards,
Freddy
