Model: Tapo C212
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.12 Build 240427

I have setup my Tapo C212 using ethernet when connecting directly to the router, however my router (Deco AX3000) has only 2 LAN port, so I bought a LAN Gigabit Desktop Switch (Mercusys MS105G) so that I can branch out 1 LAN port to multiple Tapo C212.

So what happened is;

1. I configure the Tapo C212 using direct LAN cable to the router and setup the Wi-Fi as well

2. Mount the camera to ceiling and connect power and ethernet
3. It is seen to be connected by Wi-Fi

Any way to resolve this?

Hi,
Typically, if the camera does not show it's wired to the router when the ethernet cable is plugged in, it may be that the wired connection has a problem.

You can disconnect the Ethernet cable from the switch to the camera, connect the same cable from the switch to a laptop/PC, and then test if the laptop/PC has an internet connection.
If not, it means the wired connection from the switch does not work.
If yes, please ensure the Ethernet cable is plugged into the camera properly, then test if the wired connection works.

Best Regards
