Several factors, such as the complexity of the monitoring environment and the size and speed of the objects, influence the ability of Tapo cameras to detect small objects or mice. These challenges make it difficult to effectively detect small items. Here are some improvement suggestions to enhance detection capabilities:

  1. Adjust the motion detection sensitivity value to the highest setting (10). This will increase the camera's responsiveness to movement.

  2. Designate specific areas for motion detection to minimize background interference. 

  3. If the camera has a built-in SD card, activate the continuous recording feature. This allows you to review video recordings even if no motion is detected, providing an opportunity to check for mouse activity or other small movements at any time.
