C120 Detection Zones issues

Hi wondering if anyone can help
I have one camera of my cameras which is in a room with a TV. I've created a zone (multiple times now) which goes from below the TV to the bottom of the video window. So in effect the TV is outside of the zone but no matter what I do it is like I have a full screen zone as people and motion on the TV are constantly triggering.
Am I missing a trick here or is this a software issue.
Thanks. Darryl

Hi,
Usually, if you have enabled Motion and Person Detection, set detection zones for them, and activated Notification and Detection Recording features on the Tapo camera, you will receive "person detected" or "motion detected" notifications whenever a person or motion is detected within the specified detection zone. The camera will also record the corresponding events. Any person or motion outside the detection zone will not trigger notifications or recordings.
For instance, the basic camera's detection mechanism is based on image changes between different frames. The frame is one of the many still images that compose the complete moving picture. If there is a difference between the frames, the camera will recognize it as a motion detected.
In the video you provided earlier, there were both movements and changes in lighting within the detection zone. Therefore, it is normal for the camera to send notifications for both "person detected" and "motion detected."
However, if you receive notifications for "person detected" and "motion detected" when there are no changes in the detection zone (i.e., no detected persons or motion), or if there are persons or motion present but no notifications are sent and no recordings made, this indicates an issue. And you can send us the relevant video for further analysis.

Hi,
Please provide the following information for further analysis of the reported detection behavior.
1. Please go to the camera's Device Settings > Detection page, check the enabled detection types and the corresponding sensitivity value.
2. Send us a screenshot of the detection zone page.
3. Send me a video showing the reported phenomenon. You can upload the video and screenshot to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.

Hi,
Thank you for providing the screenshots and video. Based on the camera's detection settings and the video, it seems the camera's detection feature is working fine, as there are indeed people and motion within the detection zone. For example:
1) a person is sitting within the detection zone and makes a small movement
2) even though the TV image is not within the detection zone, the color change in the TV image will cause a change in lighting within the detection zone, which may trigger motion detection.

Hi Solla
sorry I'm struggling with what you are saying
I will try to share another video with no one in the room and the TV when it shows a Person is clearly being detected and they are well outside the detection zone.
Can you please escalate to the development team
Thanks
