Model: Tapo C530WS
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.3

When the alarm and notifications are activated (Away Mode) and then deactivated again (Home Mode), the app does not keep the user’s custom configuration: Notifications (I have both enabled but only the first one remains), Sound (I have Light and Sound but it switches to Sound only), Alarm volume (I have it set to High but it switches to Medium), Detection (options defined for each camera get deactivated).

This feature is very important because I have 5 Tapo C530WS cameras and one C120, and when I leave, I need to activate and deactivate everything with a single tap. It’s not viable to go into each one to activate the two notifications and the alarm without losing the configuration.

One more step is needed: the ability to define the behavior of these values for the global action (Home Mode and Away Mode) in a personalized way (for each camera). That way, different scenes can be created—for example, many times I’m at home but I want to arm certain zones or cameras.

Thank you very much and at your service.

Hi,
Typically, when you apply the Home mode or Away mode settings to your cameras, the settings in these two modes will overwrite the cameras' current settings. This is usual.

If you want more modes to customize your cameras' settings, you can vote and leave your detailed usage scenario on the thread "Tapo app more camera modes needed" for evaluation.

If you mean the Home/Away mode settings do not apply correctly to your cameras, do you see any error message appear? Please ensure the camera's firmware and the Tapo app are up to date.

Best Regards

Hello, I found where to configure the behavior of the modes in the app. The mistake was mine, since I didn’t know how the application worked. Thank you very much! And yes, it’s vital to be able to customize and add more modes. I’ve already replied to the suggested conversation. Best regards!

  @RodoCapo

Hi,
Thank you for your attempt and cooperation. We also have instructions on how to edit the Home/Away mode in the Tapo app, and hope it will help you.
How to edit Home and Away Mode for Tapo Cameras on the Tapo app

By the way, since the home/away mode is not included in the action list of the smart action feature, it's currently unable to achieve the usage scenario that applies the home/away mode settings to the cameras automatically when you go home or leave home.

Best Regards
